Scratch has a native version for Mac OS, an alpha for Ubuntu Linux, and an experimental version for other Linux distros.
If you have Mac OS, you'd probably rather run the fully featured native version from here.
If you have Ubuntu Linux, the alpha might work for you, or it might not. If you want features and stability, get the Windows version and run it with CrossOver. If you want speed, get the Linux Alpha.
