Sam Broadcaster Pro Tips

If you really want to use MySql it is possible, but I will not try to explain it.
SAM Broadcaster comes with a built in Sql server by Firebird. If you use it as the embedded server, then it will work just great.
First install msxml3 and richedit30.
Then install Sambc, select the firebird radio button, then leave the settings alone on the next screen (default settings), this will run the installer for firebird sql.
It will then error out complaining it can't connect to the server and drop you to the settings screen.
from there, click the 'embedded server' option and continue.
I don't suggest running Sam immediately afterwards because you need to run the setup again.
The second time you run setup, choose the firebird option again, and on the settings screen choose the embedded option again, and continue with setup. If you don't run the setup twice, sam will not appear in the installed applications window and won't work, based on my findings in 6.2.0 install.
Goto the bottles setup area, and goto configure, and make sure your audio is set up properly. Either do this with the crossover setting, or use the crossover winecfg app.
Next you should be able to run Sam from the desktop icon, do so.
I added files immediately when it asks and didn't skip that part. So if you don't add files, it may complain to you.
