this can happen on some devices for reasons I'm not yet aware of. The Heroic launcher shows the game is running but it actually doesn't open and after a while, heroic shows the game as not running too. this can be fixed by reinstalling the dependencies in the heroic bottle and relaunching the game.
the required dependencies are:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (10.0) Redistributable (64 bit)
