RiskyProject 3.2 Tips

I recommend setting the "Application Look" (under the Format menu) to either Microsoft Office XP or 2003.

If you change this setting to "2007", the window decorations cover the window edges. Under CrossOver or Wine, you need access to the window edges in order to resize the window.

If you install RiskyProject under Windows Vista, it will pick the "2007" setting by default. If you install under Windows XP, it will pick the "XP" setting by default. I recommend using a WinXP bottle for this reason. If you do install it under Vista, you can simply change the "Application Look" setting under the Format menu. RiskyProject seems to run well under Vista, except for this one setting.

Also, if you try to resize the window in any "Application Look", make sure that the cursor is not a black, diagonal arrow when you attempt to resize it. If you put your cursor in the lower right corner of the window and attempt to resize, the cursor will sometimes be a black, diagonal arrow, and the window will not actually change size. If you click and drag a little closer to the edge of the window, the cursor changes to a white arrow with resizing borders, and then you can resize the window successfully.
