Select "New Bottle", and then Create Bottle and Continue
Name your bottle, and then choose winxp for the type
Click "Choose Installer File...", and then Install.
Follow the normal RO setup
Go to Manage Bottles (Configure>Manage Bottles)
Select the bottle you previously created
Click the Graphics tab now, and set Wine to emulate a virtual desktop. Then set your desired RO window size. (I'm using 1600x900)
Click OK to save and exit winecfg
You *MAY* need to make to perform these steps (according to the original post) I did these initially, and things worked, but I later un-did the dll setting and the game still works fine.. So I think it more so had to do with the full-screen needing to be ON in the game.
Click the Advanced tab, and click "Open C: Drive in Finder"
Get the "USERENV.dll" from a Windows system (I used XP). Download this
and place a copy in the ./system and ./system32 directories, relative
to the C: directory you just opened. I placed it in both just to be
safe. Close this Finder window.
Back in the Manage Bottles window, click the Control Panel tab and then launch winecfg
Click the Libraries tab, and in the text field for "New override for library:", type "userenv.dll". Then click add.
Find the newly created userenv.dll in the "Existing Overrides" list, select it and click Edit, and set it to Native.
Click OK to save and exit winecfg
Now Startup Regnum Online and do the following steps
Accept the license agreement
Log in with your account
Click "Options" at the top
Set the "Renerizer" to OpenGL (Direct X does not work for me)
Try a pipeline (Fixed will be the FASTEST.. Shader 2.0 runs < 1 FPS for me)
Set the resolution to whatever your "desktop" size you used from above
click "Advanced options.."
UNCHECK Post Process, it doesn't seem to work (at least on my Nvidia 7300) every other setting is perfectly good
Run the autodetect to run the "demo" pan around the boat to make sure things work
click accept
Click "BACK" at the top (where the "OPTIONS" used to be)
