Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad Tips

Getting .net 3.5 sp1 (required for RO2 to work correctly)

This is for an Nvidia based system. I currently run Fedora 35.
When running the game for the first time, there is are a bunch of packages that are needed to be installed so you can play the game. One such package is the .net 3.5sp1 package. When running through Steam Proton (at time of writing), wine brings up an error of you needing to turn on or off windows features to install the package. Changing the windows version to Vista or Xp may work but once the .net 3.5 sp1 installer opens, it is unable to find the Microsoft servers (which are on still mind you) and fails. Running through crossover, the game will install with all the correct and needed dependencies, including the .net3.5sp1 package. You can now run the game.
