Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad Tips

Getting better performance with an Nvidia based system

Nvidia system 2080 super, Fedora 35 KDE. MILEAGE WILL VARY. \

To get mostly better performance, disable Esync, DXVK, and Performance Enhanced Graphics. This will run wine's implementation of Direct x 9. Go to Wine Configuration in the Crossover Control Panels Category of Crossover. Go to Libraries. For where it says New Override for Library, click the drop down arrow and find d3d9.dll. Add it as native then as builtin. Click apply. Running the game gets rid of most of the mouse lag (where it freezes the entire game) but still happens with a heavy mouse flick. For some reason the game performance stabilizes and while it still freezes with rapid mouse flicks, it's a lot less noticable for gameplay feel. YOU WILL STILL SEE IT THOUGH. In the Steam Launch Options for Red Orchestra 2, I have also added -d3d9 to make the game run with Direct X 9 but I doubt its actually doing anything.
