Using WineAsio to boost performance

I am posting the link to a post on the Reaper forums, detailing how to get wineasio working with basic Wine. With a little work, you can probably adapt it to work with Crossover. I will note, that I have never done this. I did try it in Basic wine, and it worked fine, but to me, latency is not an issue, due to the way I make my music. So in Crossover, I never bothered and just use DirectSound.  However, I know for some that it is an issue, just be aware, you could possibly break your Crossover if you mess up!  REMEMBER TO BACK UP ANYTHING IMPORTANT

Okay go to the link here: [HOWTO] WineAsio+Reaper

The only parts that I assume would need changing is where you'd copy the wineasio.dll.so file (to the equivalent of /usr/lib/wine for Crossover, possibly /opt/cxgames/lib/wine for crossover games, but it may vary depending on OS/Linux version) and how to register the wineasio.dll with crossover. I would assume you'd just run a command within a bottle and do regsvr32 wineasio.dll, however, I have not tried this, as I don't use it with Crossover.
