If you can not find a version of R4 you might try the following with R5. I've tested option B and it seems to be working well.
CrossOver:
Version: 8.0.1
Quicken XG 2007
Version: R5
OPTION A - FRESH INSTALL SUGGESTIONS
1. Do not install using the Quicken 2007 install, install as an
unsupported program
2. When prompted for the installation option, choose installation file and select the setup.exe from the CD. I tried using the installation folder option and this did not work.
3. Install to new win2000 bottle. I am running an independent bottle.
4. Proceed with install and when prompted to connect for updates, do not.
5. Do not run the Quicken XG program.
6. Allow the bottle to simulate a restart
7. Download the XGr5 update from the quicken website -
16141-16151_Quicken2007_CAN_R5_EN.exe8. Save the update to your MAC hard drive
9. Install the update as an
unsupported program
10. When prompted for the installation option, choose installation file and browse to the update and select it.
11. Install the update (to the same bottle as the Quicken program)
12.
Do not run the quicken XG program from the update
13. Allow the bottle to simulate a restart
14. Done - you should be able to run Quicken XG now.
OPTION B - UPGRADING TO R5 FROM R4
1. Backup your Quicken Data
2. Duplicate your existing Win2000 bottle (This is not necessary but is always good and allows you to go back to R4 in case of trouble)
3. Close Quicken (if open)
5. Save the update to your MAC hard drive
6. Install the update as an
unsupported program
7. When prompted for the installation option, choose installation file and browse to the update and select it.
8. Install the update (to the same bottle)
9.
Do not run the quicken XG program from the update
10. Allow the bottle to simulate a restart
11. Done - you should be able to run Quicken XG R5 now.
