I have been about to get quicken to run on the Mac using 10.0.1 with a few changes to the suggested install process. Using the process outlined bu Quicken 2011 Deluxe
Using the above i noticed some issues with resizing the reconcile window creating a popup window with buttons that were not click-able. Only resolution was to exit the bottle and restart Quicken.
By modifying the install process to the following, the issue can not be reproduced and Quicken now appears to be stable and very usable.
- insert the Quicken 2011 Home and Business disk
- When you get the automatic pop-up install window, Select Quicken 2011
- Select "Install" at bottom left of window.
- Crossover will automatically download and install supporting software and fonts
- Start up Quicken
- Decline the request to register the software
- Exit Quicken
- Install Internet Explorer 7.0
- Start up Quicken
- You should now be able to Register Quicken and use it as normal
So far (and i use Quicken daily) its working fine with only a few minor font issues
Note: I am not sure step 5-7 are necessary, but this is the process i followed. Installing IE7 before Quicken lead to some issues. Not installing IE7 at all lead to more stability issues
Staff Note: Codeweavers Staff does NOT recommend that users install Internet Explorer 7 into the same bottle as Quicken 2011, but this tip has been left otherwise unaltered on the off-chance that such a configuration is helpful in certain instances.
