To get around windowing problems -
I have found two work arounds - one is to shut down Quicken and restart (not very convenient!). The second one is to drag the inactive window to the side until you can see the corresponding icon in the bottom left of the main Quicken screen (rectangular icons with names corresponding to the inactive window, such as 'Online Update' or 'Report' etc.). Click on the icon and then the inactive window becomes active and you can work on it normally, or close it.
