Ensure you insert your Quest For Glory V "Play" CD into your CD/DVD-ROM drive before you launch the game via CXG 10.x. Otherwise if you launch the game without the disc, when you try to start a new game or load an existing game, you're prompted to insert the CD. At this point, even if you try inserting the disc into your system, the game won't recognize it's available and will continue to prompt you to insert the disc.
If you get to this point, just quit the game and relaunch it. It will now properly recognize the disc.
