Although Quake3 runs perfectly and tested mods work acceptably the Punk Buster anti-cheating mechanism doesn't function properly. The software cannot update itself, and even after being manually updated cannot function because of limited O/S privileges.
Otherwise, installation and usability are rated close to 100% on Mac OS 10.4. Mouse function would stop after switching manually to a mod, but connecting to a mod via IP from the main Quake console works fine.
