The game has issues with fog, even on Windows. They are apparent also in the game menu, where barely anything can be seen through.
If that happens, you may have luck by locating1 the Hardware.ini file in the game installation folder and trying these settings (credits: Steam community guide):
ForceVSFog=1
InvertFogRange=0
ZEnableFix=0
If that doesn't work, asBugra Hendensays just turn off the fog in the game settings.1 Select the bottle, click "Open C: Drive", then search in the folders. In a GOG install the Hardware.ini file is located at c:/GOG Games/Prince of Persia - The Sands of Time/Hardware.ini.
