Installation via Crossover into my Steam bottle went flawlessly, but upon execution I found the game had no sound (despite Portal 2 - another Steam game - having sound working normally). This oddity was corrected via the following steps:
Open Crossover -> Manage Bottles
Select your Steam bottle and choose Run Command
Enter "winecfg" and click Run
Under the Audio tab, change all of the sound fields from (System default) to the actual device
Click Apply and OK.
Enter "winecfg" and click Run, again.
Under the Audio tab, ensure that the Test Sound button works and you hear a sound, and that (System default) does not appear for any field.
Note that, for me, the Test Sound button produced sound even when (System default) was selected for each field, however sound did not work in-game. The combination which worked was when my sound card's input/output devices were selected explicitly and the Test Sound button worked as well.
