If you don't have ready access to a Windows installation to use the widescreen resolution/UI mods, you can still get a plain vanilla installation to work. Just enable "Emulate a Virtual Desktop" (I have it set to 1024 x 768) and change Fullscreen=1 to Fullscreen=0 in the Torment.ini file.
