Pirate101 Tips

Pirate101 and RAZER Synapse

Pirate101 crashes/freezes when it tries to initialize the audio drivers because of a RAZER Synapse audio plugin. This is due to a change in the way input managers are handled within the Mac OS (starting from Mavericks 10.9.x and on). The issue can be be fixed in one of two ways:

1. Move the audio plugin from the following location to your Desktop:

/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/RazerAudio.plugin

*Most likely, this will allow you to play Pirate101 again. If you are not satisfied with the functionality of your Razer audio device after this procedure, then you can move it back to its original location before launching other games. Then move it back out before playing Pirate101 again.

or

2. Remove the RAZER Synapse driver and software from your system, this is not easy nor is it the best solution if you would like to continue to use the RAZER Synapse enhancements. Note that in our testing the RAZER Synapse uninstall function does not remove the files necessary to bring functionality back to applications running via CrossOver. This means each file would need to be manually removed.
