If you have the problem where Pharaoh asks for the CD when starting, but the CD is in the drive, you can work around this by making a fresh install of Pharaoh and copying the saved games across to the new install. (This worked for me in Crossover version 11.0.3)
1) install Pharaoh into a new bottle
2) start new Pharaoh just to make sure it's working, then exit (don't create a family)
3) If you want your old saved games:
i) open the drive_c of each bottle (there's a handy button to do this in the manage bottles window)
ii) copy the contents of 'Impressions Games/Pharaoh/Save' from the old bottle to the new bottle
4) perform the screen resolution workaround (see the other tips and tricks)
5) conquer egypt!
You can delete the old bottle when you're satisfied it's all working
