After first run of Pentax Photo Laboratory (very often called PPL by users) you will get two windows: - first - main window with menu, toolbar - secend - preview window and all opened Pentax Raws (PEFs) will be developed automatically without any interaction by user. If you want to control image parameters, you should choose Custom Proccessing (from menu: View->Custom Proccessing or by shortcut: CTRL+C or by clicking and choosing it from toolbar [it's the third button from the left]). When you switch to Custom Proccessing, you could be overhelmed by number of opened windows, so the first thing should be closing of unneccesery tools (for example I closed Lens Abberations Correction). All of them can be opened and closed by selecting from View menu. Another thing you should do is resizing Preview window and move all windows to comfortable positions. You could see my setup in Screenshots, it consists of: - main window on the top left - big Preview window (on the screenshot I resized it to better show Tone and Other Setting) on the bottom left - Noise Reduction on the middle top - Tone on the top right - White Balance and Other Settings on the bottom right. Other Settings window is over White Balance and it's moved to show few pixels of White Balance (it helps in switching between them).
