Workaround for opening a company on any version of Peachtree:
Using "File" "Open Company" does not work at all. To get into the company you desire do the following.
From a windows environment, create a peachtree backup. Then opne peachtree in Linux and create a new company; then restore the backup into your new company. This company will now be visible when you return under the "recent company" option and you can then open the company.
