Paint Shop Pro 7.0 Tips

Using the "Save as" Command

with the current crossover (6.1.x nightly build) the save and save as functions work properly.  dated june 9, 2007.

what does not function well are the toolbars.  toolbars not docked do not show the functions so they are not selectable.  i.e. the clone brush size is whatever it is.  can not be changed via the toolbar as the size and shape options are not visible.  can not stretch the toolbar to show them.

Well, even if PSP7 is marked as known not to work, it works perfect with pratically no bugs or errors. The only issue is in the Save As or save as copy functions. If you use PSP7 with crossover you'll notice that save as or save copy as does not save a damned thing. But there is a trick! To make it work, just simply choose your file format again! Example: I open a .jpg file and whant so save it as "another name.jpg". If I simply change the name, the file won't be saved. But if I click on the select extension menu and choose jpg again, then the file is saved normally! It is that simple. Naturally, the usual "Save" function does work very well.
