Under Crossover, when Netica first opens, the
Messages window appears as just a word in the upper left of the
screen. Normally, the Messages window opens automatically and runs in the background while you work on your Bayes net.
Tip 1: You can
double-click the word to open the Messages window, and from then on it will work as
normal.
Tip 2: If you x-away (close) the Messages window and then quit Netica, the Messages 'icon' will not reappear in the upper left of the screen the next time you open Netica. You can re-open the Messages window at any time by choosing Window > Messages from the menu. If you want the Messages window to automatically open every instance of running Netica, leave the Messages window open when you close Netica.
Tip 3: If you did not open the Messages window (by double-clicking the word), it may appear as a solid white box in the bottom-left of the main Netica screen. You can double-click that blank white square and the Messages window will open.
