There are some know bugs in v2.42 that cause the application to crash. In Windows the crash is immediate and complete. In Crossover the application remains partially functional.
To reproduce open a directory containing files with empty ID3v2 UFID frames. In Windows XP the application will crash. In Crossover the application will continue to show the pop-up box Reading Directory but there will be no progress on reading the tags. If you press Cancel the pop-up box will disappear and some functions of mp4tag will still work.
