Don't click "Run now" (it doesn't work without the patch in the next step).
Download the patch to update whatever version you have to v1.4. This is no longer available on any official site I could find, but this file on the Internet Archive appears to work: https://archive.org/details/mt... (the game complained about insufficient dos memory without upgrading this and in previous Crossover versions it complained about no CD even with the CD inserted).
Run the installer for the patch in the Monopoly Tycoon bottle to upgrade it to v1.4.
Double-click the Monopoly Tycoon icon on the desktop to bring up the launcher menu - it should now say "v1.4" at the bottom.
Go into Configuration and click "No Music" - the game would not work for me without ticking this in either Crossover or in Windows 7. It looks as though this is because the Windows Media Source Filter that this used was removed in later versions of Windows: see https://mcdebugrndmstuff.blogs... for more information and apparently a fix, though I have not downloaded/tested this myself.
Click "Play".
