I noticed with Visio 2010 Standard edition in CrossOver 11 you must re-boot the bottle before activating the software you installed (Visio).
When I first launched Visio after installation there was an error that was unspecified by activation. When I rebooted the bottle using the Simulate Reboot it then allowed me to activate Visio 2010 Standard.
