I was able to get this installed by using (downloading) the Microsoft Office Deployment Tool to download it and then following Microsoft's instructions on creating an XML install file. I created an empty bottle in CrossOver and installed the Core Fonts and IE 8 (which installed .Net 2.0, .Net 2.0 SP2, Core Fonts (again), MSXML 3.0 SP7, .Net 4.0 Client Profile, .Net 4.0 Extended, Adobe Flash Player 28 ActiveX, Wine Gecko, and finally IE 8). I then installed the MSXML 6 SP2 component. Next I copied then entire C:\ODT drive from my PC to my Chromebook's Download directory. I ran my bottle with a Desktop, firing up File Explorer. I then used File Explorer to copy the ODT directory from Downloads to the C: drive in the bottle. Then I ran the command the Microsoft had in their instructions using the XML install file that I had created. Everything installed fine. I then went to run Word. Be patient! After Word starts, you have to wait a while to get the prompts about licensing and logging in to your Office 365 account, etc. Once that was all filled out and finished, it ran. I successfully created and saved a file in Word and Excel. PowerPoint blows up after tying a few characters though. I have only tested those 3 apps so far. When trying to load any saved file in any of those apps. no matter where I have saved it, they all tell me that the file is corrupted and cannot be loaded. If anyone gets further, please post as I'd love to be able to load saved files!
