To install Word proofing tools in addition to the default English, following these steps:
1. In Word, click on File > Options > Language
2. In "Office authoring languages and proofing", Click "Add a Language"
3. In the newly added language, click on the underlined "Proofing Available" text, it will open a website in your browser
4. Download the installer from the opened website, it should be named "OfficeSetup.exe"

6. Go to Crossover and select the MS365 bottle
7. Click "Install Application into Bottle" then "Install an unlisted application"
8. Choose the installer downloaded in step 4
9. Wait until it tells you that it succeeded
- If failed, follow the guide below
10. Open Word, click on File > Options > Language
11. Verify that your desired language says "Proofing installed"

If the above method did not work (maybe because it requires Win10), you can install proofing tools from this Microsoft Website:
(it says it is for Office 2016, but it works for Office 365 on CrossOver too)
- Go to
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=52668
- Select your language then click on download
- Go to CrossOver and select your Office365 bottle
- Choose "Install Application into Bottle"
- Choose "Install an unlisted application"
- Select the downloaded .exe as installer
- Accept the license agreement
- Wait for the installation to finish (takes around 10 seconds, there is no progress bar, only a finished message)
- Restart Word and Proofing Tools will be installed
You can check if proofing tools are installed by going into Files > Options > Language > Office authoring languages and proofing. If proofing is installed it will say "Proofing installed", if proofing is not installed it may say "Proofing available".
This is tested on Linux: Ubuntu 24.04.1 with Word Version 2002 (Build 12527.22286 Click-to-Run)
