Microsoft Office 2013 Tips

Below are some useful tips and tricks to look through if you are having issues installing or running MS Office 2013:

Initial Install:

• Make sure the application is installed as a ‘known application’ by installing it using the guide we have provided below

Installer file type:

• Install the 32-bit version of the program. The 64-bit version is unstable at this time and is not recommended.
• The .img does not install at this time. Please only use the .exe version of MS Office 2013
• The Home Use Program (HUP) 32 bit installer also works, but requires a fast internet connection to complete successfully

Graphical Errors:

• MS Office 2013 requires DirectX 10 or higher. We have seen some older DX 10 cards not work, but in general DX 10 or higher work. If your Office 2013 programs open up with a black or grey window, your graphics card is out of date and will not support MS Office 2013.

Office 365:

• Make sure to install the correct version of the software from the Microsoft website (i.e.. Microsoft Office 2013 32-bit Installer).

Activation: 

• Check the amount of activations you have remaining. In some cases, upgrading your OS will count as a new computer.
• Login to your Office 365 account to make sure username and password is correct.
• In the event of Error 0x80070426, attempt at another time. Ensure internet connection is stable.
