Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 Tips

"This Framework is Not Supported On Your Operating System"

Macintosh OS X v10.8.2
.NET Framework 4 Clean Install
Sometimes, the installation of .NET Framework 4 throws this error at you once it has downloaded.  Not to fear!  This can be easily fixed.  Go to the menu bar on the top (or the equivalent on Linux) Configure -> Manage Bottles -> (Then click on the bottle in which it is being installed) -> Control Panel -> WINE Configuration -> Launch Selected Item (the button) -> (Then, on the bottom of the window that pops up, there will be a pull-down tab with the words "Windows Version:" next to it.  Select "Windows XP" if it is not already.) -> Click "OK".  My Windows version was set to Windows 2000, despite it being a Windows XP bottle, and since .NET Framework 4 is not supported on Windows 2000, it made perfect sense.
