Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Tips

install on ubuntu 12.04 fails - fix

The install of the .NET Framework 3.5 may fail when trying to install .NET 3.0 on Ubuntu 12.04. To fix this type the following in a terminal:

echo 0|sudo tee /proc/sys/kernel/yama/ptrace_scope

Typing 

cat /proc/sys/kernel/yama/ptrace_scope

should return 0
