Microsoft HTML Rendering Engine 7 Tips

Workaround for installation failure due to 'incompatible language' error

If your preferred language setting on the Mac OS is a language other than English, you may encounter an error during the installation of the HTML Rendering Engine 7 component that says, "This installation is not compatible with the operating system's current language."

The workaround for this issue is:

1.  Quit CrossOver
2.  Go to Apple Menu>System Preferences>Language & Text
3.  In the Language Tab, drag English to the top of the list.
4.  Lauch CrossOver and install the HTML Rendering Engine 7 component into a new bottle.
