Copying and pasting large text narratives into memo fields typically results in all the paragraph markers being removed or ignored, extra invisible characters being included that only appear in reports but not in form fields, and the like. This may be a Mac only problem, as I have not used the linux version in a number of years. The source of the text doesn't seem to matter, although text from any Microsoft Office application tends to include more and a wider variety of the invisibles.
Using TextSoap <http://www.unmarked.com/textsoap/> ($40) to scrub the text prior to pasting it into the memo fields has pretty much fixed all the issues I was having.
