Using Gentoo Linux cxoffice 12.2.1 with a 580gtx and an amd 8350.
It installed fine using a Steam bottle and tie.
Runs on "High" or "Very High" settings at acceptable framerates. When you're inside a base it may be a bit more choppy though - not sure if that's standard for this game in Windows either. Running with SSAA at 0.5x, AF at 16x, Motion Blur High, Very High graphics setting, 1920x1200 res, vsync enabled.
There's two issues with this game however :
1) Light shines through walls and objects. Certain level can be extremely annoying and make gameplay very upsetting, as it's blinding to other objects/people in front of the wall.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33603 seems to be a bug about the problem, no work around yet.
2) You might get occasional crashes on the game. If you do you have to apply a patch to the wine libs and recompile. So that means you either have to recompile the crossover sourcecode
http://www.codeweavers.com/products/faq/source/ and copy the libs over to your cxoffice installation. Or do a regular wine install with the patches (if you're using gentoo just put them in the /etc/portage/patches/app-emulation/wine/ directory and `emerge wine`).
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33603 is a bug about the problem, and attached patch.
Overall the graphics quality is average for most detailed FPS that are playable on wine. The light bleeding through walls issue may become more of an issue, I've only played a couple hours so far so I can't say. Hopefully wine or codeweavers can apply the patch in #2 above, to fix the crashing issue!
