"If the launcher is crashing on startup you may be experiencing a problem with winegstreamer. Open up winecfg (see http://www.codeweavers.com/support/docs/crossover-... for Linux, http://www.codeweavers.com/support/docs/crossover-... for Mac), go to the libraries tab, enter winegstreamer.dll, click add, then click edit, select «Disable» then ok, and ok again. I can confirm that this also works for Mass Effect 2, and that the in game sound does still work.
