Works from IE 7 In XP Bottle, ActiveX Will NOT Install
I can run LotusLive Meetings just fine from an IE 7 web browser instance, but the ActiveX control will not install properly.
It is possible to download the "LotusLive Meetings" installer and run it successfully outside of IE 7. IE 7 will not run the ActiveX control that has been installed, however. If you try to install the ActiveX control from within IE 7, you get a fatal error.
Without the ActiveX control you can do most attendee and presenter functions. Some capabilities, like screen-sharing, do NOT work.
If anyone has ideas on how to get the ActiveX control running in IE 7 within a bottle, please let us know. The CodeWeavers support folks have said in the past that usually these components do NOT work. I did a test install to see if I could get it working, and was not able to do so.
LotusLive Meetings also runs well from FireFox within Linux or Mac. There is no good reason to run it from within IE 7, from what I can see. I recommend running it from your native web browser instead of using IE 7. I was not able to get any additional functionality from within IE.
