Getting Approach 9.8 to load files. The open file function will not work after install, but this can be fixed. Make sure that there is a formated floppy disk in drive A: Approach apparently needs to be able to access the floppy to function properly.
There seems to be some difference in the way different Linux distributions behave with Approach. With some distributions you may have edit the registry to get the file open to work. (HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Lotus, Approach, 99.0, General: Add a string
sRecentFile1 = path to an Approach APR file. You can add several files by changing the sRecentFile #.) You should now be able to use file open.
