Many people get to the point of downloading LOTRO where all the files have been correctly installed, and you are ready to start playing the game. However, when first launched, the PyLotRO screen will display:
"Initialising, please wait..."
"[E01] Error loading game settings"
"[E13] Game Directory not found"
"[E02] No language files found."
This means you have not yet configured PyLotRO. (And have not yet "patched.")
This is easy to do, and should only have to be done once right, after the initial installation.
First of all, launch PyLotRO from the CrossOver programs menu (or wherever you have it stored if you did not use the CrossTie installer.)
Then, click Tools -> Settings Wizard
A new screen will appear with a drop-down menu and a button that says "Find Games" in the upper right hand corner.
Generally, the drop down menu should auto-locate to Lord of the Rings Online, but just in case it comes up with something else, select it from the menu, and then click the "Find Games" button. This will allow PyLotro to find the language file and game directory, and will fix the aforementioned errors.
You can then proceed to "Patch" the game, again using the pull-down menu.
When patching is complete, you should be able to proceed with your login.
