For installation I installed to a new Windows XP bottle. At the end of the installation I checked no boxes for creating shortcuts or installing DirectX 9.
After installation completes go to Configure | Manage Bottles, select
the bottle you just installed the game to, select the Control Panel bar,
and open the Wine Configuration, go to the Graphics tab, and check
"Emulate a virtual desktop." I left setting at 800 x 600. Otherwise when you start Legion Gold it goes full screen but screen is too big and doesn't show up correctly.
