Installed the Rockstar social game app via Crossover 22.0. Then installed L.A. Noire from the game manager. I was surprised to see that it started and looked great. Accidentally hit my lock button on the keyboard which took me back to login screen. Once logged back in, the whole desktop had changed resolution to the currently set one inside the game (1280x600 or something close). Selected play again, and the game ran, but with the taskbar and notifications showing while playing. Changed the resolution to 1920x1080 and the game went full screen and ran with no issues that I know of. Firstly, because I had never played the game yet and didn't know how much of what occurred was user error vs. game issues (i.e., holding the brake while driving it seemed the gas pedal was still depressed as the engine revved.) There were some controller misconfigurations (i.e., Y to enter vehicle did not work so I finally tried X and that worked; however, maybe I accidentally inverted them in settings as using the controller to change settings was awkward).
Once you exit the game, the desktop settings were still low resolution so I rebooted, but still the low resolution remained. Have to change them via desktop settings and then all was well.
Since I had seen issues in the forums playing on Mac and stuttering, etc., I didn't expect it to work so well. So if you have the game via Rockstar, just install the manager (listed as 5 stars in CO) and then install the game.
