The Automatic Update of the client doesn't always work. First try telling the updater to update manually and pick one one of the servers.
If that still doesn't work you can grab the update by hand at http://jd.perfectworld.com/download under Patch Updates. This will download a .cup or .zup file. Copy that file into (your home folder)/Library/Application Support/Crossover Games/Bottles/(JD Bottle)/drive_c/Program Files/Perfect World International/Jade Dynasty/Patcher and then run the game client. Do the manual update again and you should be able to choose the .cup/.zup file and the game will update.
