I have a mac and this is what I have done over the years with irfan and crossover: On my windows computer at work, I will install irfan and the plugins, choosing to install the ini file in the irfan programs folder. Then I just copy the irfan program folder onto a usb stick, and then copy that to my mac, placing it where ever, since location does not matter. I actually have about a dozen or so different folders containing different versions of irfan, going back to version 2.8 up to the current version of irfan... and they all work just fine. I have never used irfan for media files, but for pictures, it can not be beat. You know, sometimes a straight copy is just simpler than hassling with getting an installer to work as one would expect. Fortunately, with irfan, as with other smaller windows programs, this method works well.
