Load CrossOver so that it is in your dock and along the title bar at the top of your screen.
Manually create a win98 bottle:
Highlight 'Configure' and access 'Manage Bottles...' in the drop-down menu.
In the lower left hand corner of the window there are '+' and '-' buttons, use the '+' button to create a bottle.
Name the bottle something appropriate and then select win98 for the bottle type and choose 'create'
When the bottle has been created, highlight the bottle in the 'Manage Bottles' window. Then, highlight 'Applications' to enable the 'Install Software...' button.
Click the 'Install Software...' button and choose Internet Explorer 6. Go through the steps to download and install IE6.
Once Internet Explorer is installed, go back to the 'Manage Bottles' window.
Highlight the bottle you just installed IE6 into and then highlight 'Applications' and click on 'Install Software...'. Now, choose to 'Install Unsupported Software...'. Browse to the location of the HomeBase installer and proceed through the steps. Within the installer you do not need to make back-up copies of the files it replaces on install.
Sometimes when the installer is finished and you start up HomeBase for the first time the 'walk through' window appears behind the application window which makes the application look like it is frozen. Minimize HomeBase to find the walk-through window and complete the walk through steps. Pull back up the HomeBase main window and you should be ready to go.
