Make sure that the installer you have is the most current.
If you Need the current installer you can download it from Gameforge's website,

(older installers fail out with an Error: "Unable to find file app.info in Date folder").
You may receive ("404 not found") error in the information window in the launcher while installing 1 through 3 of the patch updates.
(The installer works correctly and will properly display the Information window on the 4th patch update during the install process).
"Est. Download Time", Does not displayed correctly or any information during the 1 through 3 of the patch updates.
(Installer works correctly and will properly displays "Est.Download Time" on the 4th patch update during the install).
Installer does not create a desktop Icon, or creates it incorrectly without an icon image.
(Open Crossover, Select the "Hex Shards of Fate (TCG)" Bottle, Under Programs select the "Hex" Program launcher and drag it to the desktop).
