I have installed the game from HoMM 3 Complete Edition (from the DVD HoMM 3 + HoMM4 Complete by Ubisoft). There was only one harmless problem during the installation. The installer cannot recognize 2gb. ram, you can continue and this does not create any problems at all.
By the way I have installed the game using winXp bottle and had no problems at all. Playing the game windowed (by emulating virtual desktop at 800x600 pixels from wine configuration) is the best since you can experience some layout problems on full screen.
I have been playing the Shadow of Death Campaign (have finished the first 3 campaigns) and the game has stuck for only once (I don't know why, I might have also done something wrong). So far the experience is great. Tested on Mac OsX 10.6.3 with Cross Over Games 9.0 for Mac.
