Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete will install and run completely fine under the current Crossover 14.1.3. (Tested on MacBook Pro, running OS 10.10.3 Yosemite) Installation Tips:
To install, insert the disk and select Unsupported Applications > Community Supported Applications > Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete
Choose Proceed and select the CD installer.
Begin the installation; the install shield will come up. During the installation you will encounter the following:
Window showing that the memory failed; choose Next anyway.
Right after that, it will complain about the memory failure; tell it Yes, to install anyway.
After that, installation will proceed fine.
At the end of the install, you encounter a window with three options, one of which is to run update check--uncheck this, because it will fail anyway.
Once installation completes and the installer closes, the crossover install window may think that the installation has failed; tell it to Skip This Step.
Menus and icons will be created fine; the game will run fine from the icons and it recognizes the CD without problem--although you have to make sure you put the right disk in the drive :)
