On macOS Big Sur V.11.1, however, this tip was tested as working on the Windows 10 October update as well. Upon launching the game a windowed menu will open up. This menu is supposed to display the option for New game, Load game, options, and exit. Due to a quirk with the resolution, the menu will only display the "exit" option surrounded by a black screen. After countless testing, I have found the only solution to be setting the monitor resolution to 1024x768 or lower. Setting the monitor to this resolution or lower allows the menu to load up properly. After the menu is loaded while looking a bit off even at that resolution all menus (including this one) will work at normal resolution. However, after the menu is loaded at the lower resolution the size can be set back to how it was, as it retains the changes.
(Note: The menu must be delt with like this on every run.)
