The mouse controls may become restricted to move in a clunky or limited extent, if at all. If so, this is an input monitoring issue with your Mac and Steam. To access Input Monitoring, first exit out of Steam, then go into system preferences, and enter input monitoring. This allows Steam and functions for the Games or Steam itself, to receive input commands from your keyboard and mouse. In input monitoring, see if there is a label for "Steam" if yes, click the switch on so you can direct inputs to Steam and the Half-Life Application.
