Try downloading/installing a few times and disable game overlay
This plays well on Ubuntu Linux 22.04 (X11 and Nvidia, proprietary drivers).
Use the crosstie to install. The download and install may take quite a few times (e.g. five). The crosstie should set it to use DXVK. Then I also had to disable the overlay, by going into GOG Galaxy > Settings > Manage Installation > Features > Overlay [uncheck] Access GOG Galaxy features in-game -- without doing this the game launched fine, but I could not click on anything.
