As of this writing, the md5sum of an unpatched Gw2.exe file is:

Note that not all of these steps are necessary when installing Guild Wars 2. They are only meant to make the installation process easier.
1. Create a folder in your favorite temporary place called "Guild Wars 2" (I like to do this on my Desktop)
2. Copy or move the "Gw2.exe" file to the "Guild Wars 2" folder
3. Launch the CrossOver Software Installer
4. Select "Guild Wars" from the list of software
5. Open the "Will install from/Will download from" section and click "Choose installer file"
6. Use the browser to point CrossOver at the "Gw2.exe" file
7. Open the "Will install into..." section and change the name of the bottle to be "Guild Wars 2", also change the type to winXP or winVISTA (both types work... CrossOver will complain about the bottle type)
8. Click "Install" to start the installation process
At some point, the client will crash during this process, finish off the "CrossOver Software Installer" and go on to the next steps.
This section is optional - Linux
Copy the "Guild Wars 2" folder into your bottle, suggested location: ~/.cxoffice/Guild Wars 2/drive_c/Program Files
This section is optional - Mac
Copy the "Guild Wars 2" folder into your bottle, suggested location: /$USER/Library/Application Support/CrossOver/Bottles/Guild Wars 2/drive_c/Program Files
** note that the suggested location is within the user level library... on Lion you will need to hold down the option key to make the user library visible**
Now, restart the installer with "Run a Windows Command" (Linux) or "Run Command..." (Mac):
1. For "Use Bottle:" set it to "Guild Wars 2"
2. Click "Browse" and point CrossOver at the "Gw2.exe" file
3. Click "Run"
At this point the Guild Wars 2 client should launch and begin patching. Each time it crashes, restart it with the above method (it usually downloads about 10,000 files before crashing).
If it crashes immediately, add "-image" to the end of the "Command:" so it looks similar to:
"/path/to/Gw2.exe" -image
