Symptom: When running GM, upon starting a game, a "Unexpected error loading the game" dialog pops up, then an infinite loop of Runtime Error 216 dialogs show up.
Problem: Seems to be an issue with Xgl/Compiz/Desktop Effects.
Solution: run inside a different X server. The best way is explained in "Getting GameMaker to work well!".
